The Leidos Defense Group DOD CIO Enterprise Program has an immediate Part Time position available at Alexandria, Virginia.
We are seeking a Section 508 subject matter expert to support the provisioning of enterprise-wide guidance, policies, evaluation and oversight for the accessibility of DoD information for disabled individuals, known as DoD Section 508.
This position is intended to provide analytical and programmatic support services to increase the awareness of Section 508.
The successful candidate will be a proven performer and self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in regards to Department-wide policy guidance and oversight for federally mandated Section 508 implementation.
Evaluate the Department's level of compliance for creating Section 508 compliant Electronic & Information Technology (EIT).
Provide recommendations on how to improve the DOD CIOs efforts to develop, procure, and maintain EIT solutions that increase the accessibility of the DOD EIT environment.
Bachelor's Degree with 8-12 years experience or additional experience in lieu of degree, or 6-10 years with Master's degree.
Experience with the DoD Section 508 program.
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
Must be US Citizen.
Knowledge of industry efforts to increase accessibility of information for disabled individuals.
Networking and internet knowledge and skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good analytical skills and programmatic knowledge.
Ability to write and coordinate policy.
