The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening in our Huntsville, Alabama office supporting the Production and System Support Line of Business in the role of Production Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

The position will perform as the Production Manager for the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Support Program. Position will manage production assembly, fabrication of materials, and test operations including calibration of equipment used in the production process. Provides input to new products and develops processes to implement organizational strategies. Must be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders as necessary to resolve complex problems and issues. The Production Manager develops production schedules, determines workload priorities of the production team, tracks key performance indicators, and implements Lean Manufacturing principles within the production environment.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience or Masters with 3 or years of relevant experience. 4 additional years of directly related experience may off-set the degree requirements.
  • Must have 2 or more years of supervising experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing practices and leading teams in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelors Degree with 5 or more years relevant experience or Masters Degree with 3 or more relevant experience.
