Job Description:

The Leidos Civil Treasury program has an opening for a Java Developer to help define, design, develop, test, maintain, implement and support the Account Management Services (AMS) project under the direction of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) subject matter experts, in collaboration with IRS developers, following IRS Processes, using specified COTS products and IRS developed products. The following activities are part of this effort: to maintain the AMS project, to expand the AMS project, to maintain and build out Development, Test and Production Environments.

The Java Developer will perform Java Development tasks in support of the AMS production systems. The job duties will include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Research, design, development, and/or modifications to application software to integrate disparate systems for a Federal Government agency
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation in support of the project.
  • Configuration management and assembling the releases of the code base
  • Maintain correspondence imaging and scanning work
  • Creation and maintenance of AMS interfaces with other IRS systems
  • Must be flexible and adaptable, able to develop using a wide variety of methods and technologies
  • Must have a good understanding of connection pooling
  • Must have experience with multi-threaded applications
  • Must have experience with large scale systems
  • Must feel comfortable interacting with clients
  • Must have strong analytical skills and be detail oriented
  • Must have effective verbal communication skills


Subcontractor may propose each of the skill sets below with 7+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in related field. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
