***THIS POSITION IS IN AFGHANISTAN AND OFFERS A 90/30 ROTATIONAL SCHEDULE***
Leidos is currently seeking an Administrative Clerk to support the MD-530 in Afghanistan. The Administrative Clerk will work and travel in between customer sites as needed. Customer sites include Kandahar, Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Good written communications skills, working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications, organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Applies working knowledge of technical literature and various style guides, including customer specifications, to documentation and publication standards.
Participates in maintaining technical manuals.
Assists in validating/verifying, resolving discrepancies/ deficiencies and assessing accuracy/ adequacy of technical manual requirements.
Edits reports, publications, proposals and correspondence to ensure clarity of content, consistency of format and accuracy of grammar.
Interfaces with engineers and technical professionals in writing, editing and publishing various types of customer documents such as training manuals, concepts of operations and contract deliverables.
Uses appropriate computer software application for document text production.
Establishes and maintains electronic and/or hard copy data library of documents and work order files for documents received for processing.
High School Diploma required, Associates degree preferred
2 years of related experience
Candidate should have well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Candidate must have an active NACI with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Ability to work in a team environment
As the position location is in Afghanistan, the following requirements need to be met:
Active passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date
Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date
Possess a valid state driver's license
Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.
Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.
