Leidos is seeking a FIRES Deputy Program Manager to provide Post Production Software Support (PPSS) and Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) engineering and technical services to the CECOM Software Engineering Center Mission Command Division based in Aberdeen MD with operations located at both Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and Ft. Sill/Lawton, OK.

Successful candidates will support our customer in creating capabilities and providing technical services and subject matter expertise in Mission Command, Fires and C2 Maneuver systems. You will provide software engineering and technical support to the Family of Tactical and Strategic Mission Command systems to include: FBCB2, JCR, JBC-P, FSS, Common Software, BCCS, TSI, GCCS-A, TS3, TDI, CPI2, DCO, TDM, COE v3, CPCE, Command Web, DDS, CPOF, GCCS-A; SICPS and MIP/ACIS as well as the US Army's FIRES Family of Systems including: AFATDS, JADOCS, FOS, FF-Q37, FF-Q36, Centaur LWTFDS, PVM, MMS-P, PFED, LCMR Q50, AN/TQP-53 and LCMR Q49.

Additional support functions may include various aspects of Systems Engineering, Software Development, Information/Software Assurance, Requirements Analysis, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Systems Administration, Network Engineering, Property Management, and Lab Support.

Primary Responsibilities

As the resident leader of the FIRES PDSS/PPSS Support Organization located at Lawton/Ft Sill OK, the FIRES Deputy Program Manager will work closely with the Mission Command & C2 Maneuver / FIRES Task Order Program Manager, the FIRES Chief Engineer, the FIRES Safety Supervisor, the respective FIRES Project Leads and the Fires C2 Maneuver and Radars PPSS/PDSS Support Teams in addressing, planning and executing all aspects of all assigned FIRES PDSS/PPSS support efforts.

Basic Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline is required, plus 8+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 Years' relevant management experience is required preferably in the US Army FIRES area software development and sustainment arena.
  • Must be capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract.
  • Must have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of software and computer resources for Army systems.
  • Must be capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort.
  • Must be capable of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Must be capable of providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
  • The Deputy Program Manager must at all times be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, and be a provider of constructive criticism. Army Acquisition Corps Level 2 certification in logistics, program management or information technology is highly desired OR recognized industry equivalent professional certification.


Preferred Qualifications

Advance degree desirable.

PMP certification a plus.
