The Airborne Solutions Division currently has a dynamic opportunity for an entry level Electrical Engineer to work in our Manassas, Virginia office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills to help in designing, upgrading and maintaining aircraft modifications on the U.S. Army's Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced mission DHC-8-300 fleet.
-Assist with all aspects of avionics electrical design work related to aircraft electrical modifications and antenna/sensor electrical power and data cabling design.
-Assist with electrical loads analysis, hardware integration and general system troubleshooting
-Assist with the supplier coordination to respond to questions and track fabrication status
-Work in a shop environment, and consult with aircraft avionics staff, as needed.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
-Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, with up to two years of related work experience.
-Experience developing electrical power and data architectures
-Experience using electrical design software
-Strong communication skills for collaboration
-Positive attitude, ability to multi-task and possess strong time management skills
-20% CONUS travel required
-A DoD clearance is NOT required to start; a final Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance, is required.
-Knowledgeable on aircraft avionics systems (i.e. power, comms., etc)
-Experience with airborne sensor and antenna systems
