The ISR MEP/PED Systems Division at Leidos currently has a dynamic job opportunity for a Software Engineer located at our Beavercreek Ohio, Pentagon Boulevard office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL) Sensors Directorate, Sensors Analysis, Integration and Test (SAIT) program. In support of this program, your primary role is to support the United States Air Force programs at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

Primary Responsibilities

-Contribute to hardware/software integration activities as well as other infrastructure-related duties as assigned.

-Design, develop and maintain mission-critical software in support of national defense, and intelligence gathering products for both airborne and ground based systems

-Participate in laboratory, ground and flight testing to validate software

-Document and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment

-Stay up-to-date on state-of-the-art programming techniques and software technologies

-Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skill-sets

-Create modeling and simulation tools for hardware products and systems

-Contribute to investments and research that fuel innovation and technological advancements

Basic Job Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.

-A Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

-Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: C++, Java, C#

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.

-Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

-Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion

-Ability to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans.

-Must be able to obtain a Secret DoD level of clearance

-Must be a U.S. Citizen: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

-10% CONUS travel required

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience in system integration and field testing activities is a plus

-Experience in 3D visualization, parallel programming, or network programming a plus

-Minimum of a 3.0 GPA

-A current DoD Secret level of Clearance or higher
