Job Description:

The Instrument Flight Procedures (IFP) on the NISC III contract is an Aeronautical Information team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration. The Terminal Team provides digital drafting and aeronautical information management support for the preparation of Terminal Production Publications (TPP) to support the FAA's IFP Charting Team. The TPP is a 26 volume set of Airport Diagrams (AD), Instrument Approach Procedures (IAP), Departure (DP) and Standard Terminal Arrival (STAR) charts. The TPP is available for use by Air Traffic Control (ATC) and pilots to navigate aircraft safely and efficiently around the country. The IFP Team currently services over 28,000 maps in U.S. States and Territories, and foreign military bases. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to assist the Leidos IFP team as well as the FAA, in creating and updating these charts.

Primary Responsibilities

Analysis of Aeronautical information and creation of multiple Aeronautical charts, using Computer Assisted Drawing software.

Interact with FAA IFP team members and FAA Management for the acquisition and processing of Aeronautical information data.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Geography or related discipline from an accredited College or University and 5 or more years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Microstation CAD Software

Knowledge in E.S.R.I Geographic Information System

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Proficiency in Adobe Professional
