Job Description:

Leidos is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Cyber Security Analyst to support a government customer's mission in Huntsville, Alabama. An ACTIVE Secret level security clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret is a hard requirement for consideration/

The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for the following:
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks
  • Supports cyber security initiatives through both predictive and reactive analysis, articulating emerging trends to leadership and staff. Support during enterprise incident or evaluation efforts, driving incidents to timely and complete resolution
  • Employs advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, including dead system analysis and volatile data collection and analysis
  • Performs network traffic analysis utilizing raw packet data, net flow, IDS, and custom sensor output as it pertains to the cyber security of communications networks
  • Reviews threat data from various sources and develops custom signatures for Open Source IDS or other custom detection capabilities
  • Correlates actionable security events from various sources including Security Information Management System (SIMS) data and develops unique correlation techniques
  • Utilizes understanding of attack signatures, tactics, techniques and procedures associated with advanced threats
  • Develops analytical products fusing enterprise and all- source intelligence
  • May conduct malware analysis of attacker tools providing indicators for enterprise defensive measures, and reverse engineer attacker encoding protocols
  • Interfaces with external entities including law enforcement organizations, intelligence community organizations and other government agencies such as the Department of Defense
  • Integrate lessons learned and cyber findings to better align with RMF controls

  • Possess a minimum of a Secret level clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • BS degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated broad background in information security tools, concepts and issues across a broad range of technologies including monitoring, IDS and forensic tools confirmed by related work experience
  • Proven ability to demonstrate creativity and be comfortable working in large corporate environments
  • Demonstrated effective organizational and technical skills
  • Demonstrated effective customer service skills
  • Effective teaming skills (both internally and with external agencies)
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new analysis techniques with guidance from other senior team members
  • Experience in system engineering as it relates to Risk Management Framework

  • Programming/scripting experience
  • DOD 8570 compliant certifications
  • Self starter
  • Experience with DoD cyber programs and command structure
