The Intelligence Group is currently seeking a Staff Support Officer for a contract providing on-site support to an Intelligence Community customer. The candidate will support a team of approximately 10 Technical SMEs that provide technical training to, and develop technical expertise of, the Customer's staff.
**All candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for the position.**
The Staff Support Officer will provide administrative and logistic support to training courses, ranging from brown-bag presentations to week-long classroom courses. In addition, the Staff Support Officer will serve as a back-up for managing a weekly cycle of identifying export cases with potential proliferation concern, conducting research on the items in question, consulting with technical experts on their dual use status, and preparing documentation on the cases for presentation .
The Staff Support Officer will assist the contract PM and Technical Training Key Personnel in the administration and logistic requirements that support all training activities on this contract. Specific duties will include:
Managing course registration
Reserving and confirming classroom facilities
Communicating course logistics with course attendees
Coordinating necessary security arrangements pertaining to specific classes
Tracking and reporting on metrics pertaining to specific courses
Managing and archiving the repository of accumulated training information
Identify, arrange, and help conduct training and familiarization trips to US facilities that develop, manufacture, test, and operate missile, space, and UAV systems
Identify and propose suitable companies and facilities to visit; upon direction, contact companies and arrange for tours; make necessary arrangements to compensate the companies if required; work with the companies to ensure that the tour and briefings are focused on issues important to the mission; and accompany the Sponsor's analysts on the tour
Manage own activities to make sure daily and weekly deadlines are met, but also makes sure that input from all of the stakeholders is received and processed in a timely manner
Serves as the point of contact for all the stakeholders involved in this process, and must be very consistent and responsive to request
Responsible for maintaining databases of information collected on the cases
Creates, compiles and exports agendas containing all information for weekly event
Collaborates with Engineers to answer inquiries from customers
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a high school degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience. Also required, a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a support officer/facility manager/project manager in the Intelligence Community. Proven skills in organization, problem solving, and developing briefings.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. The applicant should have experience working with high-level customer management. Good interpersonal skills are important in dealing with a variety of customer personnel.
