Job Description:

LRST is seeking a System Analyst with experience in administrative, public relations, research programs or a related field to support U.S. Department of Energy clients. This individual will demonstrate experience working within a team to organize, develop and complete regular assignments relating to research programs in a timely fashion. Work will involve regular interface with DOE clients.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) researchers, research managers and LRST team members to organize.

Exceptional problem-solving, innovative thinking, project management, and decision-making skills are a must. In addition, abilities in writing, editing, and oral presentation will serve the successful candidate well. The candidate must be proactive, collaborative, energetic, hardworking, highly organized, and committed to excellence.

Additional responsibilities may be tasked to the successful candidate including support to some clerical, scheduling and/or expediting efforts as is occasionally necessary to support other projects within the LRST work scope(s) for NETL.

The responsibilities will include, items such as, but not limited to the following:

Under general supervision and acting on own initiative and working independently, performs advanced secretarial, clerical, and administrative duties.
  • Support is required on-site at NETL Morgantown. The staffer will coordinate regularly with senior staffers in both NETL-Pittsburgh & NETL-Albany.
  • Administering, managing, and tracking of all RIC fact sheets.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work load.
  • Strong work ethic to add value to work products. Possesses and displays the ability to apply techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a wide variety of related clerical and administrative tasks for LRST Staff / Client.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and advanced secretarial training.
  • 5+ years of prior related experience with 2 years of experience with the company preferred. Requires advanced knowledge of commonly used PC applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe.
