Senior Pricing Strategist

Job Description:

The Exploration and Mission Support Operation in the Civil Group is seeking a Senior Pricing Strategist to support new business capture and proposal activities across a large portfolio of new business opportunities located in Gaithersburg, MD.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience developing successful pricing strategies to both win and execute new business pursuits and a desire to apply those skills to develop RFP-shaping and capture strategies that improve win probability and mitigate financial risks. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated, proactive, and analytical individual that thrives in an environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and strategic thinking. A track-record of supporting successful large capture ($100M+) is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities

•Plan and participate in capture and RFP shaping activities related to an integrated technical and cost/price strategy to include, but not limited to, white papers, RFIs, customer meetings and presentations, opportunity gate reviews, and RFP responses

•Develop innovative approaches and RFP shaping strategies to resolve financial, technical, contractual, or business challenges during capture, proposal, and post-award stages

•Assess government RFP technical requirements, price evaluation models, and contractual structures to develop opportunity specific solutions that leverage Leidos win themes and strategies

•Conduct business case analysis considering bid and execution models for large and complex proposals

•Provide guidance to pricing analysts for implementation of proposal specific, integrated technical and pricing strategies

•Facilitate proper bid-to-execution handoff to guide program teams through proposed cost/price strategies and financial risk mitigations to optimize performance and profitability

Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree and 15+ yrs of related experience in federal government contracting.

•Prior experience in capture activities and strategic pricing

•In-depth knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to strategic pricing analysis

•Expert-level experience developing complex cost models in Microsoft Excel

•Sound understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment

•Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including experience in presenting material to executives and communicating and coordinating with other functional leaders, as well as Government contractors and industry

Preferred Qualifications

•Track-record of success on large captures ($100M+)

•Understanding of Leidos Win Plan

•Understanding of Leidos Disclosure Statements and Estimating System

•Experience with large IT, cyber, Agile, unions, and development bids

•Ability to lead and collaborate with others in a team-oriented environment, effectively communicate complex analyses and/or strategies both verbally and in writing

•Ability to create visual concepts and representations that communicate ideas and information to enhance written material; present information clearly
