Job Requisition:Electrical Engineer
Leidos is actively interviewing for an Electrical Engineer to support our team at Kirtland AFB, NM.
Provide engineering subject matter expertise in remote sensing for characterization of counter-WMD and improvised threat-related test events.
Subject matter expertise shall include familiarity with LIDAR, hyperspectral imaging, and other electro-optical characterization tools and techniques.
Provide expertise in change characterization techniques, such as coherent change detection and interferometry from electro-optical or synthetic aperture RADAR systems.
The expertise shall include familiarity with ground, aircraft, and satellite-based systems.
Develop test plans and methodologies to meet measurement objectives to support testing and provide post-test assessments to determine diagnostics and system performance, and how well diagnostics met test objectives.
Coordinating with government customers on a routine basis to plan future tests and review test and program results
Researching new test equipment, sensors, data acquisition technologies remote sensing and test procedures
Reviewing remote sensing techniques
Developing, execution and integration of remote sensing into government test plans
Reviewing and interpreting test results
Communicating of test results in both oral and written formats
Assessing results of tests to determine if test objectives were met
Providing technical oversight and guidance to a test team.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Optical Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience
Knowledge of government test procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools
Secret clearance, eligible for Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
Project Management Professional
Knowledge of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction
