Job Requisition:Software Engineer
The Defense division within Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer to support the US Coast Guard under the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Dam Neck Activity contract at the Integration & Logistics Center in Chesapeake, VA. The successful candidate will support software programming, networking design support, and general technical expertise in the execution of the USCG machinery control test site.
The candidate is responsible for performing software development and refresh functions, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. Duties include software requirements analysis, development of software products and software tools used for design, development and maintenance of test site and shipboard infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and programming concepts in execution of USCG Polar Machinery Plant Control & Monitoring System (MPCMS) Land based Test Facility (LBTF)
- Ability to maintain SQL databases
- Requires BS and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience developing HMI (WonderWare)
- Certifications in Cisco CCENT, CompTIA (Linux (RedHat or CentOS), Network+ ce, Project+, Security+ ce)
- Knowledge of Microsoft, Solaris, UNIX, OS90 (Telemetry OS), Linux
