Field Service Representative

Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos, is seeking a Field Service Representative (FSR) within the Airborne Solutions division. This position is located at Biggs Army Airfield/Ft Bliss, TX located in El Paso, TX. As the FSR, you will support the Airborne Reconnaissance Low – Enhanced (ARL-E) program that will initially field 4 systems to Biggs Army Airfield/FT Bliss, TX. The ARL-E system contains a complex array of reconfigurable sensor packages and the required supporting Information Technology (IT) systems. Sensors can include Wide Area Surveillance, Light Detection and Ranging, COMINT, Performance-Enhanced Airborne Reconnaissance Low (PeARL), Hyper Spectral, and various communications systems including Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS), SATCOM and HF.  You will perform specialized troubleshooting and maintenance of the mission sensors for the cutting edge Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance platform. The FSR will be based at the customer location on Biggs Army Airfield and conduct Mission Equipment Payload (MEP) service, repair, reconfiguration, and/or installation services to existing hardware, software, network configurations, and new system initiatives in support of US Army CONUS based operations to ensure the highest levels of system availability and mission completion.

Primary Responsibilities
-Participate as a member of the FSR team in support of maintaining the ARL-E fleet MEP for a high tempo CONUS based mission flight program.
-Responsible for ensuring continuous operation of ARL-E MEP specializing in COMINT, SIGINT, VaDER, Hyperspectral Imagery (HIS), MX-20, and PeARL systems. Candidate is required to develop extensive knowledge of these specialized sensor systems.
-Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of operational system deficiencies and status into Army Aircraft forms.
-Provide support at all required locations. Roving support at Ft Huachuca, AZ may be required.
-Provide assistance with development and adherence to all Leidos and customer policies and procedures
-Candidate may be responsible for training lower level support employees.
-Support new complex systems and resolve unclear problems. Some issues are expected to be “first” occurrences and require an understanding of a broader set of issues or system operations or analysis to resolve.
-Communicate with internal and external organizations including multiple customer organizations, sensor OEMs, and engineering staff. Communication may include reports, support efforts, and coordination with engineers.
-Provide assistance with development and adherence to all Leidos and customer policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

-Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience required in lieu of a degree.
-DoD 8570 Compliant IAT Level II Certification, or the ability to attain this certification within 6 months from date of start.
-Strong background and experience with multiple airborne sensors and systems that may include COMINT, SIGINT HSI, VaDER, MX20, and PeARL systems.
-Knowledge of MEP systems on the ISR asset and ground systems architecture. Successful candidate will have technology background in Signal, Imagery, or Communications electronic systems operations and maintenance.
-Knowledge of and ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts of network and mission systems.
-Experience with troubleshooting in order to isolate system faults and perform repairs of complex systems.
-Must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
-Experience with HAIPE encryption devices (KG175D) and simple key loaders (SKL).
-Must have a high level of computer knowledge (i.e. Windows IP config, Microsoft Office Suite).
-Troubleshooting skills with experience using relevant test equipment.
-Up to 25% CONUS travel required.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

•Current DoD 8570 Compliant IAT Level II (Security+)
•Prior experience with ARL-E specific sensors and systems (COMINT, SIGINT HSI, VaDER, MX20, and PeARL systems).
•Prior experience with airborne networking support (LOS/BLOS/SATCOM)
•Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, VMWare, etc…)
•Prior experience with airborne networking support (LOS/BLOS/SATCOM)
•Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the ARL-E MEP system and be able to resolve complex problems and routine maintenance issues.
