Job Requisition:COBOL Software Developer
Within an agile environment, work with business analysts, stakeholders and other developers to design implement software changes to our supported systems. Assist in the development of approved changes to the requirements. Completes and documents coding and testing of software changes. Supports the discrepancy report (DIREP) process, performing analysis of issues and providing resolution. Provides estimates on requested changes to the supported systems.
Must possess or be able to obtain secret clearance. Must have a BS degree and a minimum of four years’ experience with COBOL and relational database experience, preferably with DB2. Four years of experience can be substituted for degree. Must be able to work with minimal daily direction in a fast-paced, demanding, and fluid environment. Candidate must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills. Candidate must be highly organized with great attention to detail. Exceptional written communication skills and interpersonal skills to frequently interact with all levels of the organization and external customers are essential.
