Job Requisition:Air Force Executive Assistant
The Leidos team supporting the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Environment, and Energy (SAF/IE) currently has an opening for an Executive Assistant at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
This position entails direct administrative and programmatic support to the Assistant Secretary, and requires professional demeanor, understanding of the organizational structure of the Department of Defense, and experience as an executive assistant.
Communicate effectively with Air Force and external agencies in writing, on the phone, and in person to assist the SAF/IE front office team in accomplishing program related decisions.
Provide administrative support to the SAF/IE front office including the Assistant Secretary and the Principal Deputy to the Assistant Secretary.
Assign and manage taskings to the SAF/IE directorates using the Air Force’s Task Management Tool (TMT).
Consolidate and organize background papers, talking points, and briefing materials into binders to support the Assistant Secretary and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in their daily engagements with Air Force leadership, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Congressional staff.
Arrange travel and support travel logistics for the Assistant Secretary and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary trips to Air Force installations, conferences, and industry engagements.
Provide meeting support in the form of logistics, invitation management, and documentation of meeting minutes.
Manage filing system for official SAF/IE files following DoD guidance for document retention and archival.
Secret Clearance Required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience working with the Department of Defense
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with particular emphasis on word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and SharePoint)
Experience providing administrative support/working as an executive assistant.
Familiarity with military protocol.
Experience supporting Headquarters Air Force, Air Staff, or Air Force General Officers.
Familiarity with the Air Force’s Task Management Tool (TMT).
