Job Description:

The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for a Material Control Specialist (also known as purchasing and/or property specialist) in Columbia, MD.
Program Summary
This contract is a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of large collection systems. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. Position Description:
The successful candidate will join our Leidos team and focus on supporting purchasing needs for our customer. They will be responsible for compiling procurement packages for our customer including BOMs, Acquisition Security Forms (ASF)/Hardware Security Forms (HCF), Baseline Exception Reports (BER) / Purchase Authorization Requests (PAR) when required, Power/Space/Cooling Requirements, Sole Source Justifications (when applicable).
Responsibilities will also include
Collecting Requirements & Specs for material purchases (BOMs)
Obtaining quotes
Providing justifications to include sole source
Tracking budgets
Working with the customer administrative officers to get packages approved.
Working with the customers' business financial managers to get reqs submitted.
Tracking the Reqs through approval.
Tracking the purchases through to shipment/receipt.
Making sure the equipment makes it to the final destination.
Tracking Funding expenditures and purchase statuses.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
A minimum of 3 years of material handling/planning/purchasing experience in support of customer programs. 
Bachelors Degree in Logistics Management or related field can be substituted for one year of experience
Completion of the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) courses is highly desired may be substituted for one year of experience
RESM 1510 – Property Accountability Awareness Training
RESM 2530 - Property Accounting For Property Officers
RESM 2550 – DPAS Training
Experience with customer property processes
