Job Description:

The Leidos Civil Treasury program has an opening for  an xPression Software Developer.

The scope of this position encompasses support to help define, design, develop, test, maintain, implement and support the APSS Correspondence Examination Automation Support (CEAS) project under the direction of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) subject matter experts, in collaboration with IRS developers, following IRS Processes, using specified COTS products and IRS developed products.  The following activities are part of this effort: to maintain the APSS CEAS project, to expand the CEAS project, to maintain and build out Development, Test and Production Environments.

The position will perform software development tasks in support of the CEAS production system. Specific tasking will be provided by the Leidos and project task leaders. Tasks will be captured on the CEAS schedule or sub project schedules along with due dates. The job duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Must be flexible and adaptable, able to support using a wide variety of methods and technologies
  • Must have experience in software design
  • Must have experience in ASP.NET software development (frontend and backend)
  • Must have experience in ASP.NET website, Web Services, Windows Service, WinForms, and MSMQ
  • Must have experience in Oracle package, stored procedures, triggers and TOAD
  • Must have experience in software Operations & Maintenance
  • Must have experience in Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and System Testing
  • Must have experience in defection resolution and troubleshooting
  • Must have experience in software development life cycle (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Must feel comfortable interacting with the project team and IRS customer on a daily basis
  • Must have strong analytical skills and be detail oriented
  • Perform analysis on existing functionalities and existing code base
  • Create and maintain documentation in support of the project
  • Create and Maintain test data
  • Verify Pass/Fail of test scripts through verification of log files
  • Provide weekly status reports
  • Provide and document test results or defects
  • Use Rational Suite tools
  • Use Rational Team Concert (RTC), Rational Functional Tester (RFT), Rational Requirement Management (RQM)
  • Use Microsoft Suite tools
  • Use of ASP.Net environment
  • Use of JBoss/Linux environment
  • Must be able to attain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance
  • Must have a Bachelors degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7+ years of professional experience.
