Currently, we have an opportunity for an Electric Distribution Designer/UG Splicer who would be largely responsible for field investigation for underground electric designs.  Ideal candidate will be familiar with identification of secondary and primary cables, asbestos fire wrap, and any potential hazards in electric manholes.   Experience with low and medium voltage underground cable accessories, splices, cable pulling, and construction methods would be helpful.

Job requirement includes entering electric underground manholes or vaults, observing available conduits, making recommendations for connecting new electric services to existing distribution system.
•    High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related experience. AA degree in related discipline and 2 years of related experience. 
•    Minimum of 4+ years Knowledge and  electrical construction experience inspecting and/or working with underground electric utility cables
•    Able to identify primary and secondary voltage cables
•    Capable of working in confined spaces
•    Understands confined space requirements (training will be provided)
•    Experience with underground electrical cable distribution design 
•    Capable of planning safe work on a job print or work order, while promoting safety at all times 
•    Understands lockout/tag-out procedures
•    Willing to work over-time when requested.
