Job Requisition:Maritime Power Plant Training Specialist
The Leidos Defense Group has an immediate opening for a Maritime Power Plant Training Specialist to work in Schenectady, NY. Relocation assistance available.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your power plant experience to support US Navy training. In this project we transform Navy power plant training curricula designed by instructional experts, experienced Navy power plant technicians, and subject matter experts into computer-based training (CBT) modules used in the Navy’s self-paced training program. The selected candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of instructional designers, multimedia designers, and other maritime power plant SMEs.
•Work with instructional designers, multimedia designers, and other maritime power plant SMEs to develop technical training content that will be used for Navy technical training.
•Perform reviews of the multi-disciplinary team's work and provide input on their operational experience and understanding of the manuals.
•Read and understand tasking from a project schedule to help support strict deadlines.
•Bachelor’s degree (Technical or Engineering preferred) with 4+ years of related experience.
•Demonstrated experience working with Navy power plants.
•Must have an active or current Final US Secret (or higher) security clearance to start work.
•Hands-on experience with S8G Power Plant. Experience with S6G, S3G, A4W, and S5W Power Plants may also be considered.
•Specific experience performing in a role as Mechanic or Engineering Watch Supervisor or Engineering Officer of the Watch.
