Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Basic system administrator duties including imaging/re-imaging laptops, use of Active Directory (ADUC), adding/removing laptops from a domain, adding/removing local accounts and permissions, changing passwords, unlocking accounts, and troubleshooting on a Tier 1 to Tier 2 level.
  • Utilize Remote Desktop connections to troubleshoot laptop issues.
  • Install software on PITD issued laptops.
  • Troubleshooting remote access issues on PITD issued and personal laptops.
  • Configure/issue smartphones, tablets, and flip phones.
  • Configure/issue laptops.
  • Issue RSA Tokens, Common Access Card (CAC) readers, Government Emergency Telephone System/Wireless Priority Service (GETS/WPS) Cards, CD/DVD/Blu-ray writers, external hard drives, and pagers.
  • Inventory all devices and removable media controlled by PITD on a bi-yearly basis.
  • Log and track all removable media (i.e. CD/DVD/Blu-ray disks) created by NGA personnel
  • Bar code new PITD removable media and devices.
  • Use Peoplesoft Asset Managment (PSAM) to create Asset Delivery Reports (ADR's) and Asset Found Reports (AFR's) for all new and newly discovered PITD assets.
  • Utilize various web based consoles to manage PITD mobile devices.
  • Utilize the Remedy Service Management ticketing system to generate and update/track Change Requests (CRQ's) and Incident (INC) Tickets.
  • Destruction and disposal of excess assets.

Skill Sets and Qualifications:

  • Basic system administrator skills
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with difficult customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Security+ Certification (Desired)

Education & Experience:

  • Requires Bachelors Degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters Degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
