Job Requisition:Lead TARP Representative
Leidos currently has an opening for a Lead TARP Representatives in Norfolk, VA. This position is in the Technical Assistance for Repairables Processing (TARP) Program sponsored and funded under a contract with NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support (WSS). This is an independent duty position to provide Depot Level Repairable (DLR) support to US Navy, US Marine Corps and the US Coast Guard. The position normally does not deploy but can be called upon for deployment should there be a critical and emergent need until a more permanent assignment can be made.
Duties: General duties include (1) Leadership and regular task assignment for TARP Reps assigned on the East or West Coast of the Continental United States; (2) Execute senior level liaison with TYCOMs being aware of deployment schedules and providing feedback to assist with CVN/L-Deck deployment and turn-around cycle needs; (3) Provide reach-back and guidance for all TARP Rep subjects to include ATAC, eRMS, repairables training, PHS&T training, etc.; (4) Assist the PM and the Global Operations Manager with deployment assignments and hiring to fill vacancies: (5) Provide coaching and mentoring of TARP Reps in addition to the civilians, sailors and Marines seeking TARP counsel and experience; (5) Ensure local command coverage is attained in accordance with the current TARP contract; (6) Provide local ATAC liaison to ensure efficient synergy between the local ATAC and TARP programs; (7) Develop and implement necessary POAMs to correct/improve current activity practices recommending improvements to the appropriate chain of command; (8) Ensure carcass tracking and stock-in-transit needs are monitored in eRMS by the TARP Rep assigned for each activity managing repairables; and (9) Document program activities, establish logistics guidance, conduct supportability analyses, establish support concepts, and provide the continued planning and continuous program improvement necessary to ensure effective and economical support for the program.
Minimum twenty years work experience as a Logistics Specialist (Navy Storekeeper/ Navy Aviation Storekeeper/Aviation Logistics Marine. Experience in Logistical Readiness, Transportation management, customer service operations, training support, hazardous material handling, PHS&T and process review support is desired. This position requires prior enlisted/officer military service and experience as an E-8 or above. An E-7 will be considered if extensive DLR management experience can be demonstrated.
College level courses taken in logistics or courses completed through the DOD School of Military Packaging Technology (SMPT) are desired and will be required if selected.
