Job Description:

Be part of the winning Leidos team and use your valued experience to support the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). This is an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer located at Bagram, Afghanistan.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote Tier I/II systems administration/engineering of Intelligence Community and DoD enclaves including: NIPR, SIPR, CX-SWA, TARRYCULVER, GCE, and NSANet.
  • Ability to assist with any technical integration into the AROCC architecture.
  • Provide physical and logical support to all mission systems for the entirety of the technology lifecycle as well as adhoc tasks to comply with mission requirements.
  • Conduct system based queries (auditing) and analysis on the collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination of time-sensitive information/intelligence of the AROCC Command Staff including but not limited to the Officer in Charge (OIC), Chief of Operations (CHOPS), Processing Exploitation Dissemination (PED OIC/NCOIC), Senior Coordinating Language Officer (SLCO).
  • Maintain and be prepared to provide AROCC documentation.
  • Provide analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware and software operating systems. 
  • Provide planning, design, initial fielding, testing, training, emergency maintenance, and repair of complex ISR systems and equipment. 
  • Research requirements and translates data into design specifications to support deployable ISR systems to remote and fixed site Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF). 
  • Perform system engineering and prototyping of surveillance and reconnaissance Systems, ranging from sensors to information management.
  • Employ Test plans and related test equipment to monitor the functioning of electronic, communications, and related hardware.
  • Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50lbs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSEE/BSET) or related field and five or more years of systems administrator/engineering experience.
  • IAT II qualified (ex: CISSP or Associate, CASP, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, or GCIH) and possess Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Server 2012 R2+ (MCSA in SQL 2008+ is sufficient to meet requirements for position).
  • Ability to assist with any technical integration into the AROCC architecture
  • Provide physical and logical support to all mission systems for the entirety of the technology lifecycle as well as adhoc tasks to comply with mission requirements

  • Requires two years of related C4ISR experience.

Expert knowledge of and experience using and managing:

  • Microsoft (Windows 10+) Operating System (OS) and Server platforms (Microsoft Server 2012+)
  • Microsoft SQL Server (2008+)
  • Virtualization/Storage fundamentals to include VMware ESX, Direct Attached Storage (DAS), Storage Area Network (SAN)
  • RAID concepts

Conceptual knowledge of:

  • Enterprise networking (routing and switching)
  • Termination of fiber and copper
  • Network interface controllers
  • Cross-domain solutions
  • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Programming Syntax (JAVA, SQL, R, Python)
  • Fundamental understanding of:
