Senior Cyber Business Manager

Job Description:

The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) was established to be the technology-driven core of Leidos and continue our tradition of solving the toughest scientific and engineering problems for customers. We primarily perform externally-funded contract research and development (CRAD) work for customers in Defense and Intelligence Science and Technology (S&T) organizations such as DARPA, IARPA, AFRL.

LInC’s mission is to research, develop, and transition innovative technologies and solutions to solve enduring and emerging national and global technical challenges. We’re able to meet that mission because we have the broad technical expertise needed to rapidly prototype and field solutions in areas such as AI and machine learning, big data, cyber, surveillance systems, autonomy, sensors, applied biology, and directed energy.

The Senior Cyber Business Manager will lead the research and development, business development, hiring, and strategy development / implementation to further LInC’s cyber business standing in the industry.

Responsibilities include:
o Supporting new cyber program concept engagements and briefings to customers
o Providing thought-leadership for strategic cyber business planning and developing roadmaps for business growth
o Developing capture plans for new cyber R&D programs
o Developing teams to pursue new cyber R&D programs
o Providing support to Leidos enterprise-wide cyber business captures
o Working with customers to define new cyber R&D programs
o Leading cyber program life cycle work including RFI response preparation, program capture, technical proposal writing, proposal review, and program execution


A qualified candidate will have:
o A demonstrated track record in winning, executing, and growing cyber business and a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience
o Five or more years of experience in academia, government, or industry performing cyber-offense and defense related research and development work
o Demonstrated success winning, executing and growing cyber-related R&D programs, particularly from customers such as DARPA, IARPA, AFRL or the IC
o Significant Cyber R&D program management experience
o Current Top Secret clearance or ability to receive Top Secret clearance
o Ability to travel up to 25% of his time
 
Preferred qualifications include:
o A PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science or Math
o Experience as a DARPA/IARPA/AFRL/IC cyber research program PM
