Leidos currently has an opening for a Business Process Technician to support a VA mission critical data centers located in the USA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the IOSS mission.  The mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OI&T), Information Technology (IT) Operations and Services (ITOPS), Infrastructure Operations (IO) is to support One VA with world-class service to Veterans and their families by delivering results-oriented, secure, highly available, and cost-effective information technology services provided/housed in a data center. 

Primary Responsibilities:

The Contractor shall provide technical support services to support the IT Asset Management (ITAM) software (SW), hardware (HW), Application, IT Services and Non-IT acquisition support, as well as Business Data Analytics, and ITAM Tools Solution support.

A Senior Program Analyst must have knowledge in how to plan, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of operating programs. Must be able to use source data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and business processes. Must be able to use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the operations.  Senior PA must be able to effectively manipulate data to present program status and make recommendations on improving business processes.

Updating, analyzing and evaluating the ITAM procurement processes, procedures, and guidance.

Updating asset tracking tools, ITAM Tools, CMDB, change orders, and other systems used by ITAM.

Reviewing and identifying issues in procurement and invoice documents and keeping the COR or assigned VA PM apprised of any issues requiring review and concurrence.

Responding to ITOPS IO data calls.

Supporting the ITAM (IT Asset Management) group.

Assisting with managing acquisition packages for ITAM customers in IO and outside of IO throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Providing analytics of IT assets and services to meet customer requirements. 

Coordinating and reviewing acquisition packages.

Managing the day to day IT asset requests, maintenance renewals of asset records, services, troubleshoot discrepancies in vendor invoices

Support the enterprise by tracking and managing IT assets throughout the asset lifecycle.

Supporting the enterprise by tracking and managing IT assets throughout the asset lifecycle. This includes at least 10,000 hardware assets at $15.5 million.

Reconciling data anomalies

Performing investigation and research to resolve exceptions or issues relating to the data accuracy, inconsistency or missing data attributes.

Monitor the ITAM email for DHS receipts or partial receipts and performing analysis for those receipts that affect the ITAM Repository and performing updates. 

Updating existing asset records in the ITAM data base in response to Change Orders that are issued as they relate to all IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, and Delete) activities. 

     a)  Working with the ITAM team to support IO customers, supporting all acquisitions.

     b)  Using an IT Asset Management database to track and manage the IT assets.

     c)  Understanding the contract lifecycle process and create SOPs for the processes/procedures.

     d)  Understanding of the ITIL Methodology in support of VA data centers supported by IO.

  • SaaS Platform Development and Troubleshooting
  • Manage the version control of the process to ensure proper testing and production functions
  • Conduct testing on updated or upgraded systems
  • Coordinate all aspects of implementation
  • HTML , SQL skillset (write queries, update/delete statements),
  • Data Base Admin/Mgmt.
  • Business Analysis skills
  • Experience with the Workflow management or Similar from DB Admin support perspective; managing tickets, engaging internal teams, creating reports, dashboards and understanding of SLAs for the business Units that are supported
  • Platform Service Request/Business Support Mgmt.(User Interface -Creating forms/outlining requirements for Dashboards)
  • Knowledge of management analysis techniques to identify, consider, and resolve issues or problems.
  • Managing process change
  • Recommend improved operational procedures to maximize efficiencies
  • Provide training to both the IT Teams and internal users

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Business or comparable field of study and a minimum of 10 years of related experience

8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education

Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance

Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Federal government procurement experience

Knowledge of franchise vs appropriated funding

IT Hardware and Software procurement and tracking experience

Maintenance renewal procurement experience

PO/Invoice reconciliation experience

Data Analytics experience

Advanced level Excel experience

SharePoint development experience

MS Word experience

PowerPoint experience

Detail oriented

Ability to work with minimal supervision
