Job Description:

The exciting Intelligence Group is seeking a talented Engineering student (undergraduate or graduate) for an internship as a General Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Mining Engineer) in Reston, VA. The work is performed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment within a government facility. Candidate must bring a creative, yet sound, approach to identifying and solving challenges in engineering and using software tools for modeling and simulation and for building your own tools. The successful candidate collaborates with a government staff and contractor team conducting reverse engineering of above and underground structures.

Clearance will be required to start. We are seeking local undergrad and grad students to nominate for the required clearance. This process will generally take 1-2 years, depending on a number of factors. Local candidates are preferred due to the required in-person polygraph scheduling.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Use exploitation products, intelligence resources and engineering expertise to model physics and engineering problems.
  • Collaborate with a matrixed team of intelligence analysts, imagery analysts, geologists to translate characterization engineering products into 3-D models for decision-making and weaponeering.
  • Work with senior engineer to produce accurate assessments.
  • Brief peers and senior officials regarding capability trends and analysis.
  • Candidate will be entered into the TS/SCI clearance pipeline with opportunity to pursue a polygraph

Required Qualification

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or a similar field.

  • Working knowledge of modeling and simulation software such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph (US Citizenship required per contract)

  • Software development skills – python, java, etc.
