Accounts Receivable Manager

Job Description:

Leidos has a career opening for a Accounts Receivable Manager located in Tucson, AZ.

Positions Summary:
•Functions as resource for complex problem resolution elevated by team leads. Requires demonstrated subject matter expertise in project set-up
•Staff supervision duties, as well as special project duties, are required
•The Project Accountant Set-Up Manager role reviews the contract terms and conditions in matters of escalation to identify project setup requirements to ensure proper structure is entered into the financial system.
•This role generates solutions to meet internal cost accumulation, internal reporting, SOX requirements, customer, contractual reporting and billing requirements for direct and indirect projects.
•Examples of subject matter include acquisition, hybrid contracts, tax, complex billing, Revenue recognition, and/or program reporting support.

Accountabilities:
•The Project Accountant Set-Up Manager is accountable for ensuring the integrity of the Projects Module in Costpoint and ensuring the projects are setup following company policy and procedure
•The position is accountable to our internal customer base to ensure that service level requirements are met and metrics are tracked and disseminated as team goal measures

Primary Responsibilities:
•Manage and certify PA controls as applicable
•May deliver training on project accountant responsibilities, workflows, processes, etc. to both Project Accountants and impacted functional areas (Contracts, Project Controllers, other Finance areas)
•Generate solutions to meet internal cost accumulation, internal reporting, SOX requirements, customer, contractual reporting and billing requirements for each contract and indirect projects
•Resolve issues with project setup scheme in conjunction with key stakeholders
•Attend Direct Project Setup Checklist Meetings conducted by junior staff for complex and high visibility programs
•May QA project setup (Project Accountant peer review), for complex programs
•May serve as primary department POC for billing issues, requiring more in-depth analysis and collaboration with other functional areas.
•Support Internal Audit, D&T, DCAA , SOX and self- audit requests including ensuring adherence to guidance and policies governing IR routing
•Process org change utility to create journal entries for org changes and coordinate approvals with Accounting Manager
•Responsible for set-up, maintenance, and support of MRP projects in Costpoint
•Identify modifications to desktop procedures as policies are modified

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related field) or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree and 4+ years related experience
•2-4 years of lead or supervisory experience within a billing service center environment
