Leidos is interviewing Software Engineers with strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to come be a part the team's mission of providing Agile DevOps services for critical systems within the Customer Border and Protection (CBP). The positions are located in Springfield. Software Engineers will provide Agile development, operations and maintenance for critical systems. The Leidos team will be part of an exciting ecosystem, participating with federal employees, and other contractors, in a team-based DevOps approach to deliver mission value frequently, cost-effectively, responsively, and with high quality. In this hands on position, you will work collaboratively with other companies to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain software for a variety of engineering applications which includes back end, web interface, and splash pages
• Work with product owners, team leads, requirement analysts, test engineers, and system administrators as required
• Participate in daily and monthly Agile activities per the software development lifecycle process
Development environment predominately utilizes ASP.Net and C#.
The developer must have:
*4+ years of web development experience.
* 4+ years of ASP.NET, C#, MVC based web development experience using Visual Studio 2008 or higher
*3+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
* Experience supporting more than 3,000 users and a Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) with more than 250 tables and 1 million total rows.
*Experience on at least one software development project with a minimum of 1,000 automated unit tests.
• Experience supporting Agile projects for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
