Leidos has an immediate opening to fulfill the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases requirement for a self-motivated and  detail-oriented GIS Data Analyst I to create interactive online reports and maintain web content for dissemination of influenza and other vaccination coverage in the United States, by state, age groups, risk groups and race/ethnicities..  In addition, tasks will include ad hoc analyses of survey data, analyses to support programmatic activities, and preparation of research papers or reports for publication and presentation.

This project requires experience with web applications, website management, and statistical programming expertise.

This task requires:

1) providing website support, including management of website content and working with CDC website staff to ensure proper implementation of requested website updates

2) providing orderly management of microcomputer files in a Windows environment to develop databases and analysis programs for data analysis

3) importing, exporting, and manipulating data files (SAS, SUDAAN), including recoding, transforming, and creating variables to accommodate analytic needs

4) providing support in developing and disseminating vaccination coverage findings through data visualization and web-based applications

5) using web applications to create interactive online reports

6) providing support in preparing research papers and reports for publication and presentation

7) performing other analytical and data related duties, as needed.
 
Required Education: BS with 2 years related experience or MS in Public Health, Informatics, Statistics, Math, or related field.

Required Skills: * 2-3 years of experience using ArcView GIS or related software applications. * Website applications, programming and website management.  * Systems analysis, development, and implementation using a variety of information technology resources. * Web-based data visualization and information dissemination, such as through a dashboard * Experience with data management, data analysis and report generation. * Must be able to work independently, with minimal direction. * Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.

Desired Skills: Prior experience with the analysis of public health epidemiologic data; statistical programming experience using SAS.
