The Leidos's Military & Veterans Health Solutions Group is currently seeking for a Clinical Information System (CIS) Administrator in support of the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency (DHA)’s Inpatient CIS Support Services program.
LEIDOS is currently searching for an experienced candidate that will function as a technical specialist managing the day-to-day activities related to System Administration, configuration, and business operations of the AF client/server based CIS (Essentris). The CIS SA is will coordinate CIS activities with subject matter experts and is responsible for CIS data management, monitoring, and reporting of key clinical indicators, core measures and regulatory requirements for the facility and/or assigned service line to include ad hoc reporting.
Coordinates with clinical users to ensure information systems are consistent with professional clinical functional standards of practice. Supports internal communication and change management activities, proactively managing resources and resource requirements. Monitors and proactively addresses interoperability of assigned CIS with Military Health System (MHS) systems using industry based standards and MHS enterprise guidance (i.e. interoperability of the interface with the Bidirectional Health Information Exchange (BHIE) and Composite Health Care System (CHCS). Provides and supports training activities in conjunction with the assigned clinical application trainer based at the MTF. Participates in and supports clinical and executive level committees and workgroups as appropriate (i.e. Clinical Quality, Executive Committee of the Nursing/Medical Staff). Supports workflow task management by collaborating with the appropriate clinical champions and specialty subject matter experts (SMEs). Provides continuous availability of full CIS functionality utilizing CliniComp Service Direct/Help Desk Support, DHA Global Support Desk, and MTF CIO / IT Shop resource support as needed for testing, installation of workstations, and the management of infrastructure activities. Configures, monitors, modifies and manages local mapping of data elements within ESSENTRIS®.notes templates, manage account access/security, and ensure patient care summaries available via health information exchange, troubleshoots printer errors, maintains backup disks, and manages mobile bedside workstations and physiological monitoring systems.
Supports query/report data delivery and presents data/analysis to Technical staff, while providing assistance to the ESSENTRIS® Data Analyst in support of site Global Database Repository ad hoc reporting. Monitors and proactively addresses interoperability of assigned CIS with MHS systems using industry based standards and MHS enterprise guidance. Collaborates with MDG Information Systems office to manage the approved DoD Ports, Protocols and Services Management (PPSM) Technical Review Spreadsheet (TRS) for ESSENTRIS®. Manages and troubleshoots data importation into the health care record from bedside physiological monitoring systems and fetal monitor remote displays. Identifies and loads server and workstation patches/upgrades. Serves as liaison between the MTF, Defense Health Agency (DHA), and CliniComp support teams.
US Citizenship is required as candidate must be able to obtain and maintain at least a public trust clearance.
Three (3) years of experience in computer science and information science to include the management and processing of healthcare data. Also requires knowledge in health care delivery.
Three (3) years of experience in ESSENTRIS® workflow and configuration; the ability to plan and organize work and interact with technical and non-technical personnel, while translating clinical user requirements into responsive application outcomes supporting clinical decision making.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, Informatics, Healthcare Information Technology or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with not less than three (3) years of IM/IT experience or an Associate Degree in Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, Informatics, Healthcare Information Technology or Nursing with not less than five (5) years of demonstrated IM/IT experience.
Desired certifications include a Current Comp TIA Security Plus with valid CEU.
TRAINING & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must participate and complete initial CliniComp (ESSENTRIS®) virtual training. Must also attend and complete CliniComp System Administration training within 60-90 days of hire. Moreover, HIPAA, and Information Assurance Training should be completed within 2 weeks of start.
25-50% travel to CONUS and/or OCONUS locations may be required.
