The Command & Control ISR (C2ISR) Division has an opening for a GIS Software Engineer to assist with development and testing of a mature, commercial suite of GIS Products.
We are seeking a GIS Software Developer Intern to support software development activities for the GeoRover software program (www.georover.com). The candidate will be expected to support the development of software code to support requirements in the product line. Position is full-time for the May-August 2019 time frame. Place of employment is Chantilly, VA.
Plan, Develop, Test, and Debug software applications under the guidance of Senior Software Development Staff and Program Manager. Work collaboratively within a small team environment to develop creative solutions. Initiative and ability to work independently is essential.
•Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with related industry experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering with an average 3.0 GPA.
•Course work and/or work experience with an object oriented programming language such as C# (Preferred), Java, and/or C++.
Candidate should exhibit the following qualities within the work environment:
•Ability to think independently and contribute to the overall effort without much direction;
•Ability to work well within a team environment;
•Ability to work well under pressure.
•US citizenship is required.
•Currently pursuing a BS in a technical field of study.
•Experience in the following: C# using Visual Studio, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Forms, .NET 3.5+.
•Demonstrated knowledge of GIS.
•Familiarity with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Desktop & ArcGIS Pro.
•Software integration experience in VMWare environment.
•Experience with source control tools such as: GIT, Subversion, or Perforce.
•Experience with software development tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins.
