Leidos is looking to staff a position that will be located onsite at a Government facility located in Huntsville, AL and supports development and design of complex data, voice, audio, and electrical systems. Position will function primarily within a laboratory environment, support a medium sized development team, and provide hands-on support to the team on requirements related to electrical, power and cabling circuits as required.
Responsible for the expansion, integration and installation of the ARC's data and power cable plant between the main computer rooms and the test labs. Provides cabling assessment, traces power circuits, maintains documentation, and provides inputs into power and electrical requirements for planned changes to the lab and facility.
Candidate requires a current active DOD Secret clearance. Knowledge of a DOD laboratory environment is necessary and candidates should be able to demonstrate at least 3+ years of increasing responsibility within the DOD environment. Demonstrated experience as an Electrician and a completed Electrical Apprenticeship is required. Experience must include installation, test and maintenance of fiber optic lines, video cable infrastructure, cabling trays for power circuits as well as data cables. Experience with larger scale Uninterruptible Power Supplies (> 5KVA). High school degree or higher is required.
Knowledge of EIA/TIA 568 standard for network cable distribution. Specific experience within the Huntsville laboratories located at Redstone Arsenal, and who possess specific experience with the Missile Defense Agency. Prior experience with managing teams of workers, along with experience in estimating and managing materials and projects.
