The Leidos Defense Group has an immediate and exciting career opportunity for a Senior Cloud Systems Administrator (Windows and Unix/Linux in AWS) based at San Antonio, Texas.
 
This position is in support of the Air Force Personnel Operation Activity contract at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas which is in the process of transferring all Human Resources Systems from a large physical data center into a cloud (AWS) environment.
The Systems Administrator selected for this position will design, integrate and manage all Virtual Data Center (VDC) systems (MS Windows and Red Hat Linux) through the Amazon Web Services (AWS) and investigate and analyze all activities related to infrastructure incidents within the network environment in coordination with AFPOA Cyber Security Division, System Engineers and other System Administrators under a tiered response structure.  Selected Systems Administrator duties will include AWS hosted Windows 2012/2016 Server based domains utilizing Active Directory, DNS, MS SQL Server, Oracle and various application servers. Administration of additional computing infrastructure to include Splunk, ServiceNow, ACAS, Okta, AppDynamics, and other hosted systems.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Selected Systems Administrator will collaborate with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for administration of AWS native services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage (S3) and Amazon Simple DB/RDS data bases, AWS Identity and Access Management IAM.
Configure, secure, and tune cloud infrastructure systems.
Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, TCP/IP, F5, PKI services.
Patch, configure, apply Security Technical Information Guidance (STIGs).
Learn existing system capabilities and work to support the design of the new capabilities and enhancements (to include Cloud Migration and Analytics design and development).
Sets up administrator and service accounts and troubleshoot creates/updates and maintains system documentation, interacts with users and evaluates vendor products, deep understanding of monitoring AWS instances and services.

Provide VDC weekly status reports to Contractor Program Manager and government representatives.
Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination
Report findings to management with recommendations for resolution.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree and 8-12 years professional relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of Bachelors,
or Masters Degree with 6-10 years relevant experience.
Experience planning, integrating and maintaining Windows and Unix/Linux systems.
2 years experience with AWS.
Must have an Active Secret clearance at time of hire.
Must have Security + (DoD 8570 series IAT Level II Certification) before hiring or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree.
AWS Certification (Associate or greater).
Advanced Systems certifications (Windows/Linux/UNIX).
Scripting Experience: Python/Perl/Bash/Puppet/Chef.
CISSP.
