Job Description:

Our fast-growing Intelligence Group is searching for a Senior General Engineer in Virginia Beach, VA. The work is performed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment within a government facility. The successful candidate collaborates with a government staff and contractor team conducting analysis of above and underground structures.

Serves as the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Target Analysis Technologies Division (RD-CXA) permanent liaison to Commander, Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU), Dam Neck, Virginia.  As such, acts as the program manager for Special Operations research in support of special operations forces (SOF) combat development.  Responsible for supporting host organization’s mission through developing technology research and coordinating DTRA facility defeat support to special operations.  Provides the direct embedded representation for RD-CXA, as well as for associated Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) components of the Facility Defeat Team (FDT), throughout the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Hard Target Defeat (HTD) enterprise.  In doing so, coordinates and de-conflicts DTRA support to the KENNEDY GOLD “Facility Defeat” program and provides RD-CXA and DIA program advocacy as required with subordinate commands of USSOCOM.  This includes providing research input and feedback, in conjunction with the DTRA Remote Technical Support (RTS) modeler to USSOCOM, instructor support to KENNEDY GOLD courses and curriculum collaboration with the DTRA UGF Schoolhouse, SOF coordination and participation in Continental United States (CONUS) and outside CONUS (OCONUS) hardened facility vulnerability assessments, and supporting host organization operational, planning, or exercise requirements.  Primary place of duty will be Dam Neck, VA, but duties will require both routine and unplanned travel to other locations, both throughout the US and to foreign locations.  Employee will be required to attend monthly meetings in Northern Virginia, either in person or by electronic means.  Employee may be required to work irregular hours.

-Work independently within a government customer facility.

-Use intelligence exploitation products, analytic resources and engineering expertise to facilitate use of characterized facilities products.

-Collaborate with a matrixed team of intelligence analysts, imagery analysts, geologists to translate characterization engineering products into 3-D models for decision making and weaponeering.

-Transition and integrate government developed analysis capabilities into customer’s organization.

-Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline with 8-12 years of related experience.

-Military or Contractor Targeting expertise.

-Direct experience can substitute for formal education.

-Prefer Civil or Mechanical Engineer.

-Master’s degree with 6-10 years of related experience.

-Career Military Targeting Officer.

-Defense-related experience and an understanding of military operational planning.
