The Government Health and Safety Solutions Operation of Leidos has a need for a Jr Node Software Developer in Baltimore, MD. The candidate will be collocated with the SSA government employees and subcontractors at a government facility in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Jr Node developer to provide Agile software development and hands on implementation using the latest open source server side java script technologies on the Node platform and other related open source products.
Will perform programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution of issues within open source applications.
Perform technical design, development, modification, and implementation of computer applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Work with team members in an Agile development environment
Develop software components, adhering to existing process guidelines.
Coordinate software installation and monitor implementation process.
Monitor system performance trends and identify potential issues.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication
Required Education and Skills:
Bachelors + 2 Years of professional experience
- Full-stack software development experience with Node.js with detailed understanding of user interface frameworks, back-end software architecture interactions and node module capabilities.
- Development experience with developing RESTful Web Services using Node.js.
- Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban Agile development process and TDD, BDD, ceremonies including scrums, planning events, backlog grooming, retrospectives and demos.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills in providing technical direction and hands-on software development to include design, development and testing.
- Experience in writing sql queries in PostgreSQL and optimize queries.
The candidate must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.
