Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Threat All Source Intelligence Analyst. In this position, you will produce cyber focused threat assessments for threats to DoD strategic systems and networks.  This requires the ability to identify and work with a variety of subject matter experts to obtain information pertinent to the system being assessed.  The analyst will write comprehensive threat assessments and brief them to high-level audiences.  This position requires the ability to implement overlapping tasks and condense information into concise and meaningful assessments. The Analyst must be explicitly knowledgeable of ICD-203 analytic writing standards and have experience publishing all-source publications.

To be considered, you must have a current and active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance.

Primary Responsibilities

The analyst will scan and review daily reporting and finished all source intelligence products for possible cyber threats to DoD strategic systems and networks.  Any significant findings will be reviewed and possibly be used to produce a strategic warning product.  The analyst will draft all source cyber threat assessments that requires daily contact with experts across the U.S. Government.  The individual will review threats to various systems and networks and use multiple databases to evaluate and guide collection efforts worldwide.  The individual will attend meetings and provide briefings or written assessments as required.  The individual will work in a team setting and coordinate workload with team members.

Education & Experience: Requires a BA degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Basic Qualifications:

The Cyber Threat Analyst must be an excellent writer and be able to produce coherently written assessments on complex topics within reasonable but critical deadlines.  These large threat assessments are often a compendium of written contributions from subject matter experts from throughout the government.  Demonstrated ability to write complex assessments in an analytical style suited for executive customers is critical.  The analyst must have initiative to task outside agencies and ensure that contributions are made in a timely manner.  Briefing complex topics to diverse audiences is often required. Working well in a team environment is vital.  An active TS/SCI and eight years of related experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Helpful skills include developing and presenting briefs to office leadership, knowledge of all the basic office-related software, knowledge of DoD systems and networks architecture, experience operating as a systems administrator or network defender, experience using intelligence collection databases and a basic understanding of GIS, imagery and the collection tasking (HUMINT, GEOINT etc). A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science sub-discipline is preferred.
