On contract award, Leidos will have 3 openings for Systems Administrator III’s in Qatar. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the AFCENT Communications Technical Support Service IV mission.  In this mission we ensure communications information is available to forward deployed forces supporting Operation Resolute Support and Inherent Resolve in South West Asia (SWA) and the continuing mission requirements of the Department of Defense (DoD.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide administration, installation, operation, and maintenance on all USAFCENT-supported networks and support day-to-day technical operations of the Network Control Center (NCC) from Shaw AFB, SC. This support includes working with USAFCENT NOSC to integrate the deployed locations’ local networks into the USAFCENT Enterprise Network, supporting organizational Client System Technicians (CSTs) on local area network and personal computer issues; and working with any other agency to provide the services required. The successful candidate will engineer, install, and maintain network equipment to support new and emerging requirements. The contractor shall provide responsive services to include real-time network-level configuration control, network restoration, quality control and performance standards, status reporting, Master Station Log (MSL), and other actions required by policies, responsibilities, and operational procedures IAW the SPIN-C. Candidate may also support all NOSC-deployed projects. The following are the primary and auxiliary equipment and software systems that will be supported:

Basic Qualifications

Certification

Must meet the certification requirement of DoD 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in SPIN-C or individual task order.  The contractor is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificates: Microsoft Certified Information Technology (MCITP) –  Windows Server or equivalent, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

General Experience

  • Lead level of experience in design, maintenance, and operation of small to medium networks.  This experience must include administrating corporate or business’ user accounts managing mail servers, printer servers, WWW servers, and/or firewalls. 
  • Must have experience in reviewing and recommending software applications as well as identifying hardware salient characteristics and any add on devices. 
  • Experience in systems management, monitoring and sustainment; hardware repair for servers, PCs, peripheral equipment; software installation, maintenance and sustainment.
  • BS degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.

Must have a valid U.S. Passport that will not expire 7 months from candidates hire date.
