The Leidos Innovation Center (LInC) is seeking a Chief Solution Architect in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for a leadership position within the our AI/ML Accelerator. The Chief Solution Architect will work with other senior leaders in the LInC, the Office of Technology (OoT), and across Leidos to accelerate AI innovation by developing and refining strategy; developing solution patterns for the Enterprise; leading AI activities within major captures and programs; and representing Leidos capabilities in AI to our customers, our internal and external partners, and the community. 

The Chief Solution Architect in AI will help lead the formulation and execution of an ambitious research and investment agenda in Artificial Intelligence that focuses on delivering key capabilities to our customers and markets. In collaboration with senior leaders in the LInC and across Leidos, he/she will refine and expand a Leidos Enterprise strategy in AI that supports our markets in Health, Civil, Defense, and Intelligence. He/she will lead the selection, design, and delivery of scalable solution patterns that enable rapid development of new solutions across Leidos pipeline and programs. He/she will lead a team of Solution Architects who provide direct support in AI to major captures and current programs and will play a principal role in supporting these activities across Leidos. 

Roles on the job you will get to do:
- Expand and enhance AI strategy for a $10B+ Fortune 500 company with major markets in Defense, Intelligence, Civil, and Health. 
- Design, articulate, and lead AI solution development across Leidos consistent with this strategy to support a large pipeline of opportunities in Intelligence, Defense, Civil, and Health markets for which these technologies are critical. 
-Lead a team of Solution Architects within the Leidos AI / ML Accelerator developing and delivering AI solutions in a range of technology areas, from Predictive Analytics (PA) to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to Natural Language Processing (NLP).
-Lead partnership activities with key Leidos suppliers in hardware, software, and other capabilities related to AI. 
-Serve as a leading technical expert on AI within Leidos and across the community, including:
•    Supporting the most strategic captures across all Leidos business areas by identifying opportunities to leverage AI as part of an overall solution that delivers value to the customer, designing the specific solution elements capable of delivering that value, and articulating that solution within effective and compelling proposals.
•    Advising C-suite and Leidos business areas leaders on a broad range of technology, strategy, and policy issues associated with AI. 
•    Identifying and supporting M&A activities related to AI.
•    Representing Leidos as a member of external advisory groups in AI and related areas.

To be successful in this role you must have the following:
-Master's Degree in computer science or a related discipline, such as data science, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or systems engineering or a Bachelor's Degree with an additional 4 years of experience.
-10+ years of technical leadership within major AI or software-centric programs in industry, academia, or government, including at least 5 years of technical leadership within major AI programs.
-Thorough knowledge and understanding of many areas of AI (Machine Learning, Automation, PA, RPA, and NLP ) and related key technical disciplines including:
* Cloud / hybrid / On-prem deployment architectures
*  CPU/GPU/FPGA-based computation 
* Data Science and Data Engineering for:
* Structured and unstructured data
* Relational and distributed data models
* Massive (PB+) datasets 
* Secured data (PHI, classified data, etc.)
- Proven ability to design, articulate, and deliver complex, large-scale AI solutions that:
* are scalable, robust, secure, and resilient
* deliver clear, measurable value to program owners and end users.
-Ability to communicate effectively about AI with a broad range of audiences, from internal leaders to external customers and from sophisticated AI researchers to those with little or no relevant background. 

You will wow us if you have these skills:
-TS/SCI preferred.  The ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is strongly preferred.
-Established relationships with leading AI companies.
-Experience in designing solutions that optimize AI performance by through advanced HW and software techniques.
-Familiarity with leading commercial and Open Source AI / ML / Data Science platforms.
-Hands-on experience with a broad range of current deep learning tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Spark, Theano, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, Nvidia Digits) and collaboration environments (e.g. Jupyter notebooks, PyCharm)
-Experience with and ability to formulate solutions using one or more of the following models: Deep Learning (CNNs, RCNNs, LSTMs), GANs, Autoencoders, Reinforcement Learning, Siamese Networks, Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Support Vector Machines, Hidden Markov Models, Conditional Random Fields, Latent Dirichlet Allocation
