The Arabic Multidisciplined Language Analyst (MDLA) will process, analyze, and report target communications in both voice and graphic form in support of a Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) mission for Combined Forces Air Component Commander (CFACC) target material development and other Intelligence Community (IC) customers. Applicants must possesses a diverse background in terrorism, counter-terrorism (CT), ISR missions, Indications and Warning, geolocation applications, in addition to knowledge of military operations and the political-military environment. Applicants will conduct research and development, transcription, translation, gisting, and quality control of foreign target network communications, in addition to analyzing structures, operating procedures and mediums for additional exploitation. Applicants will also identify, extract, analyze and report using Agency applications (such as, but not limited to: UIS, DNIP, TransX, TP, TKB, MIST, DATA XPLORER (DX), BLUESTEELE). Applicants will also respond to CCMD, Component, and IC element Requests for Information (RFI); formulate and implement effective tasking and tracking methodologies in support of target development and RFI requirements; and collaborate with internal and external organizations in accordance with legal and policy guidance to ensure collected information is processed and disseminated properly. Applicants must possess eexcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms. Applicants must be self-starters, possess the ability to develop analytical leads from little initial information to aide in target discovery, must be able to operate with little to no guidance, be creative, willing to work as a member of a team, be well organized, and able to manage an individual schedule. The ability to work in a dynamic environment during non-standard hours is also required.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent formal military training with 6+ years of related experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Work experience must include 4+ years of Language Analysis experience within the DoD/IC, preferably in the SIGINT field. Language Proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and at least one of the following dialects of Arabic: Iraqi dialect, Levantine dialect, or Yemeni dialect. Language test scores taken within the last three (3) years equivalent to the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Scale Level 2+/2+ in both Listening and Reading. DLPT5 is the preferred test of record; however, other industry-recognized testing may be considered.
Work experience with any of the following Tools/Databases: UIS, TransX, TP, METRICS, some form of Mapping application, such as MIST or ARCgis, TKB, Testflight, and METRICS. Ability to perform technical analysis against target systems and networks, characterize target network capabilities and vulnerabilities, and support development of new techniques to exploit targets. Good working knowledge of SIGINT serialized reporting. Applicants must possess an in-scope Top Secret / SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph valid within seven years to start work.
Language test scores taken within the last three (3) years equivalent to the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Scale Level 3/3, or better, in both Listening and Reading. Completion of ANSK1010, RPTG1012, RPTG2225 and RPTG2235, experience with DNI/DNR and language analysis at the time of hire is highly desired. Experience working with special operations is also a plus. Collection management and target management is also a plus.
