Job Description:

The Defense group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Systems Engineer to work in Springfield, VA or Denver, CO on the RECON project, in support of the NGA's Research Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting edge technology in an R&D environment and support critical warfighter missions.

In this position, you will support high performance (HPC) and accelerated compute environments from the ground up. You will help in the creation and maintenance of a DevOps process for these efforts, from the basic data collection and pre-processing, to building and training models in AI and Machine Learning within a R&D environment. You will be building and deploying systems and containerized, gpu-enabled applications in support of mission needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors with 8+ years of directly related experience or Masters with 6+ years
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
  • Experience in devops, high-performance compute, GPU-processing, and cluster management
  • Experience working on Linux systems
  • Experience with building and deploying containerized, gpu-enabled applications in Docker, Singularity, or Kubernetes
  • Experience in orchestration and cluster management tools such as Slurm, Mesos, or Moab
  • Experience with deploying systems in both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning Development Tool Sets (Jupyter, Keras, TensorFlow, MPI, OpenMP, OpenCL, CUDA) strongly preferred
