The Defense Group at Leidos is currently seeking a Jr. TSM Manager to join the JSP Platform Services Group located in the NCR- Pentagon, or the Mark Center in Arlington, VA.
The backup and recovery system administrator will help Team Unisys successfully operate and maintain classified and unclassified DOD backup and recovery systems. This position will assist in supporting the data protection of 800+ Windows and Linux servers (physical and virtual) as well as the protection of NAS data. The job requires configuring and supporting backup schedules as well as file restores. Participation in Disaster Recovery exercises is required. This job includes demonstrating knowledge and skills associated with backing up various systems such as Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, Windows, Linux, and VMware.
Primary tasks will be maintaining the Spectrum Protect server and its associated infrastructure (IBM V5030 storage arrays, IBM Cloud Object Storage) and assisting customers with backup infrastructure related trouble tickets.
Additional tasks include health checks and periodic break/fix work on the legacy TSM servers running AIX and their associated infrastructure (IBM ProtecTIER VTL, DellEMC Data Domain VTL, and IBM 3585 tape libraries.)
•Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience.
•2 years of hands-on experience configuring and operating IBM Spectrum Protect / TSM, IBM Protect TIER VTLs, IBM tape libraries, IBM Cloud Object Storage, DellEMC Data Domain VTLs, and other related backup and recovery infrastructure components.
•Demonstrated experience in environments with multiple networks and multiple security domains
•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure and constantly changing environment
•Possession of excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
•Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
•DoD 8140 compliant
oIAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
•Red Hat Linux and/or Windows server certifications
•Experience using IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments
