The Lead Operational Readiness and Integration candidate will apply Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to issues impacting ISR Support to Special Operations Forces (SOF), as well as provide oversight, continuity, and advocacy on operational issues impacting the 363 ISRW/361 ISRG’s (includes subordinate squadrons and detachments world-wide) ability to effectively, efficiently, and safely carry out its mission areas in direct support of US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). Specifically, provide oversight and guidance to CONOPS, program development, named operations and exercise activities (e.g. annual EMERALD WARRIOR), and deliberate or crisis action planning for SOF ISR activities in support of USSOCOM/National Mission Force (NMF); oversee coordination of 16 AF multi-disciplined force presentation in support of USSOCOM mission sets; provide oversight and guidance to SOF airborne cryptologic ISR units in accordance with Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) directives to satisfy national intelligence requirements; execute direct liaison for Director/Commander/Key Leadership on sensitive SOF mission issues requiring "Eyes Only" notification and coordination; support DoD Counterterrorism operations and inform leadership and pertinent staff on updates relevant global Counterterrorism efforts. In addition, monitor/analyze Wing operational readiness, identify deficiencies in the unit’s mission essential tasks reported in the Defense Readiness Reporting System, identify and develop future ISR forces, and advocate for fix actions. The candidate will collaborate with the Operations Planning Group on focused collection operations, exercises and real world military operational events occurring within global Combatant Commands. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of ISR support to SOF mission operations to include supported AFSOC airborne platforms and SIGINT collection systems. Candidate will be responsible for supervising multi-discipline ISR SMEs to organize, plan, develop and execute solutions to address client needs and solve complex mission challenges. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for supervising a matrixed team within the 16AF to organize, plan, develop and execute solutions to address client needs and solve complex mission challenges. The Supervisor will set goals, measure progress and ensure development and growth of the team. Finally, the supervisor will be accountable to the 16AF Mission Lead for all monthly deliverables.
Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of experience) and 15+ years of related experience OR Associate’s degree and 17+ years of related experience.
Previous assignments/work in Airborne Cryptologic Operations in support of SOF Operations Planning, Signals Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME), 70 ISRW Operations Readiness and Integration SME, Capabilities and Operational Needs Assessments supporting the ACC ISR enterprise, Service Led Mission, Air Domain Awareness, Space Mission Operations.
Experience in Airborne Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) operations and processes for collection, processing, analysis and reporting and dissemination
Experience utilizing and analyzing mission essential tasks reported within the Defense Readiness Reporting System
Experience utilizing HAF/A3 Daily reports, COCOM and AOC databases, OPORDS, EXORDS, PLANORDS and TASKORDS
Experience in Headquarters-level staffing work to include requisite writing and briefing skills
Experience with workflow task management system and be able to generate BBPs, IOIs, PPT briefings, WAR reports, scheduling video-teleconferences, preparing calendar meeting invites and trip reports.
Experience briefing Senior Civilians and Military Officers and building tactical and strategic briefing packages as well as chairing meetings, working groups and operations planning teams.
