Airborne Solutions within the Defense Group at Leidos currently has an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Maintenance Manager supporting the Airborne Reconnaissance Low – Enhanced Program. The ARL-E program will deliver a worldwide deployable, highly sophisticated ISR capability to the United States Army. The Maintenance Manager will develop and coordinate program level maintenance operations, supporting a wide variety of complex airborne ISR mission sensor configurations.
In this role, you will supervise and manage Program Level activities including mission system maintenance, subcontractor level support, reporting and compliance with DCMA regulations. You will hold Production Control meetings to facilitate maintenance scheduling and coordinate maintenance actions for the MEP. Additionally, you will provide input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans as well as implementing organizational strategies.
•Production and quality control of the Mission Equipment Payload systems to established Mission Capable rates
•Supervise daily maintenance operations for the Mission Equipment Payload. This includes oversight of remotely based Field Service Representatives, subcontractor support and related reporting tools.
•Scheduling equipment and personnel; confirming material supply and demands; and work orders for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a MEP status, master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
•Communicate with Program Management and the customer on contractual program matters as it relates to the ARL-E program
•Enforce and comply with DCMA 8210 standards, interact with GFR and GGFR as required to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
•Directly manage subcontractor support to the MEP system
•Implement and maintain the MEP maintenance reporting system
•Oversee tracking and training of Leidos Field Service Representatives
•Coordinate with Logistics Asset Managers, vendors and applicable Operator Equipment Manufacturers to develop and implement an AOG processes as it relates to mission equipment
•Manage technical projects / high priority operational tasks in conjunction with other responsibilities
•Maintain as the appropriate liaison with suppliers/vendors, local, state and federal oversight agencies and purchases of services
•Provide guidance to subordinate employees and peers when appropriate, collaborating and cooperating with other members of the management team
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
•Must hold a Bachelors degree and 8+ years’ experience or Master's Degree and 6+ years’ experience. Additional years of related work experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
•Minimum of six years combined Flight Operations, Logistics Management experience.
•Army Aviation Production/Quality Control experience
•Army Aviation maintenance manager experience
•Familiar with Army Aviation maintenance terminology and procedures
•Must have a DoD current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
•10% CONUS required travel
•Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
•Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
•Thorough knowledge and demonstrated expertise in software packages such as; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Project
•Interpret drawings, specifications and schematics of aircraft instrument/electronic/avionics components
•Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles sufficient to perform the job, duties, and tasks associated with the position
•Knowledge of databases sufficient to perform the job, duties, and tasks associated with the position
•Familiarity with Mission Sensor repair
•Experience working with Army aviation and FAA Maintenance programs
