The Air Force Lead Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides experience in the application of Air Force capabilities at the Operational and Strategic level of conflict and helps guide the effective use and synchronization of Information Warfare with core Air Force missions. This position provides expertise in identifying readiness challenges for 16th Air Force units and operations to meet these challenges preparing units for great power competition. The candidate will require knowledge of training exercise development and execution, Dynamic Force Employment, and Combat Mission Ready training requirements for 16th Air Force subordinate units. Additionally, the candidate will require the ability to support and possibly lead major force employment planning efforts, lead and support Operational Planning Teams, and coordinate directly with Air Combat Command, Headquarters Air Force, and Combatant Commands and their Air components. Finally, this candidate will be responsible for supervising a matrixed team within the 16AF to organize, plan, develop and execute solutions to address client needs and solve complex mission challenges. The Supervisor will set goals, measure progress and ensure development and growth of the team. Finally, the supervisor will be accountable to the 16AF Mission Lead for all monthly deliverables.
