The Leidos Health group currently has an opening for a Program Manager to work in Hyattsville, Maryland in support of Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC).
This position is contingent upon contract award.
The successful candidate will serve as the program manager typically responsible for organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract operational support functions involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks that often require managing teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations. The Program manager will provide overall direction of program activities, manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer’s organization, consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensure conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations.
The Program manager will establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and assume the initiative and provide support to marketing personnel in identifying and acquiring potential business.
Specific roles & responsibilities for the Program Management position include but not limited to the following: • Direct program management experience providing solutions to CDC or other health services related government customers for 7 - 10 years. • Proven record of supporting programs managing and exchanging sensitive PII and PHI securely. • The leader will be responsible for managing large, complex IT application/system development, engineering, and sustainment efforts. This person will need to be very familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for CDC custom software applications. • The leader will be responsible for ensuring security measures are established to comply with customer requirements and minimize any disruptions to service.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1. A Bachelor’s degree and between 8-12 years of experience working as a Program/Project Manager.
2. A PMP certification
3. Experience developing, managing, and executing project schedules in MS Project.
4. Extensive experience managing Federal system development projects through their life cycle from initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing project.
5. Extensive experience in creating and managing all project management artifacts including project management plans.
6. Experience with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes and best practices.
7. Required experience documenting and tracking issues and risks, facilitating and leading meetings, and creating appropriate documentation.
8. Experience managing cost, schedule, and performance of projects.
9. Experience leading multiple teams consisting of both technical and non-technical staff.
10. Experience in serving as a liaison to both internal and external customers.
11. Excellent analytical, technical skills, planning, and organizational skills.
12. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Preferred skills include:
Experience with HHS and/or CDC Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC). Experience supporting and managing secure data interchanges of sensitive clinical and administrative data with PII and PHI Understanding of Electronic Health Record and medical coding Previous experience developing and supporting data analytic systems and solutions ITIL certification
