Job Description:

Be part of the winning Leidos team and use your valued experience to support the Integrated Base Defense Sustainment Support (IBD-SS). The Defense Group at Leidos has a contingent opening for a Senior Lead Technical Writer to work at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and surrounding Leidos offices.

Primary Responsibilities
Daily duties include technical writing and editing duties in support of the IBD systems. Responsible for systems engineering related deliverables development. Writes technical specifications, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference or publications.  Analyzes technical literature available, writes descriptive copy, and verifies documentation.  Must be able to edit, write, and/or rewrite technical articles, publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively on research findings, technical developments, and other information to a wide range of external audiences.  

Basic Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience. 10 years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant and recent related IBD technical publication development experience.
