Job Description:


  • Work as a Systems Engineer in a collaborative team-focused environment. Candidate will design, build, maintain, and support CentOS Linux server Infrastructure. Provide expert support for troubleshooting of server issues. Must be familiar with the following technology suites
  • DevOps

    • Wyse Device Manager
    • VMWare

    • VMWare Remote Client, Firefox Portable, VRanger, VPNC, open-vm-tools, and KerberosApp frameworks & tools

    • MariaDB
  • Infrastructure
    • Windows 10 and Windows 8.1

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 12+ years’ experience commensurate with the requested level in systems engineering; additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years specific knowledge of Linux engineering, configuration, performance tuning, and security
  • 5+ years hands-on experience working with Perl Scripting, MVC Framework, VMWare and the vSphere PerlSDK, Windows Desktops/Servers, Linux Desktops/Servers, and MariaDB
  • Ability to self-direct in project tasking and investigate and solve issues under limited supervision
  • Experience with virtual server environments
  • Experience with the Sponsor’s Accreditation process
