Job Description:

The Cybersecurity Officer (CSO) will be part of a dynamic team supporting US Army Central (ARCENT) G2 and supported customers throughout the ARCENT Area of Responsibility, with primary duty at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, including both U.S. and coalition personnel. Will serve as an Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO), responsible for completing accreditation processes on multiple networks under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), working with security managers to improve organizational security (physical security, information security, etc), leading Incident Handling issues for the organization, and overseeing vulnerability management (network, server, storage security) & patching efforts. Additional responsibilities include general IT project management, configuration management, and related roles & duties. Additionally will be expected to assist with operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in support of the Service Desk as needed. Must possess a strong customer service and mission-first focus, team-oriented attitude, passion for security, and impeccable ethics.  Candidate should be comfortable and conversant in all assigned topics, including briefing senior military leadership. Experience with Information Assurance/Cyber Security tasks on US military Intelligence networks in SWA a huge plus.

Primary Responsibilities

•Working with other teammates and network service providers, complete security accreditation packages as directed by appropriate governing ISSM or AO (RMF) and assist program managed systems with moving their packages through the various accreditation processes on collateral, coalition, and top secret networks

Work with Cybersecurity teams from outside organizations and with the local special security officers and security managers to properly respond to, document, and coordinate remediation efforts from cybersecurity incidents (cross domain violations, data spills, etc)

•Working with other teammates, develop, implement, and manage multi-domain security policies including: disaster recovery & COOP, data retention, data & media destruction, COMSEC, physical security, OPSEC, etc

•Work with systems admins, network admins, and service desk to apply security patches, IAVAs, STIGS, best practices, and updates (including OS updates) for all assigned systems and continued compliance/updates from SCCM

•Should be familiar with basic administration of Windows desktops, laptops, servers, storage devices, and network devices

•Assist Service Desk technicians with Tier I issues and customer service & VTC scheduling requests as needed or directed by the site lead

•Participate in or lead special projects and day‐to‐day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead, including surging to alternate locations for customer requirements to complete primary responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

ESITE Level 2 Education & Experience: HS Diploma/GED + 8 yrs experience, or Associate’s Degree + 6 yrs experience, or Bachelor’s Degree + 4 yrs experience, or Master’s Degree + 2 yrs experience

Required: 8140 IAT II IA Baseline Certification, such as Security+|ce; IAM II certification (CASP CE, CISSP (or Associate), CISM, etc)

Preferred Computing Environment certs include: GCIH; CAP; CE|H
