Airborne Solutions within the Defense Group has a dynamic opportunity for an Assistant Contract Special Security Officer at our Manassas, VA location. As the ACSSO you will assist the CSSO by providing a working knowledge of clearance processing, controlled space management, visit certifications and control, classified document control, controlled unclassified information (CUI) management and requirements, to include tactical security operation support. 


Primary Responsibilities
•Enforce security requirements of applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), National Industrial Security Program Operational Manual (NISPOM), security directives, DoD 5200-1R, and National Security Agency (NSA) Manual 3-16.
•Brief CSSO on the status of the Program Security Functions.
•Manage physical security requirements 
•Assist FSO with accomplishing security self-assessments, clean desk audits, and DSS Vulnerability Assessments.
•Assist Export Control department with International Traffic in Arms Regulations documentation.
•Assist in the development and administration of security education, training and awareness program
•Conduct briefing/debriefing of individuals requiring access, as required
•Assist maintaining an ongoing security education
•Aid in development and dissemination of Insider Threat Awareness program as required by the NISPOM.
•Advise personnel of their reporting requirements.
•Process outgoing visit authorizations for personnel
•Prepare DD-254 documentation and appropriate security guidance for subcontractors in ACCS.
•Prepare Facility Clearance (FCL) Sponsorship documentation for subcontractors requiring new FCLs.

Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.

•Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
•Broad knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program rules, regulations, and procedures. 
•Experience in working with a dynamic work environment, supporting several tasks at once, with potential for short deadlines.
•A DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required, with the ability to maintain this level of clearance
•10% CONUS Travel Required

•OCONUS Operations Security Experience
•Guard Force Management Experience
•Experience with SCIF operations
